The unidirectional Ml-19, made in late 70-s and 80-s was the last good microphone in the Ml series. It had a sharp cardioid, and well-balanced response. The mic was cheap in manufacture, and a lot of units survived. Regretfully, not all of them in good condition.
Curiously, sometimes ML-19s are marked as ML-219. On request from Scott Dorsey, I compared the inside of both mics, and auditioned both - there were no difference.
Further investigation at the factory, showed, that " Ml-219"is not mentioned in their achieves. . Old employees guess, it was just a typo on the branding stamp!
