U know "Street's Disciple" shit was a long-time effort. I made at least three raw versions b4 sendin u the final one ,and all my friends (tho few of 'em feel rap) told they won't be surprisin to see such an article in a serious music magazine. I feel when people told truth and when they r just tryna encourage.
"The Realness" one I've made in a an hour or so, words were just pourin out from mind to paper... But after repetitive readin I see it's kinda harsh to deal with it.
I didn't change my thoughts 'bout it - 4 me it's REAL NYC HIPHOP, but I think I gotta find other words to make people feel it like I do...

This weekend i got myself a new album - "Hood Prophet", various Nas tracks remixed by somebody called Chemical Drums. With the name like that i thought it's going to be some freaky fukked-up drum-n-bass sh!t... well, it's not! a few tracks are worthless pieces of crap alright, but the others are remixed "good ol' style", reminded me of NY in '93-'95 only listened to a half of the album, will give you more info tomorrow

though I don't highly appreciate all these "blended versions", "remixes" and so on... but I also trust yo opinion, too.

I've seen this cover on a "The Lost Tapes 2" bootleg, released in Japan. Remember I've thought that Nas is lookin like japanese on a Japan release...

How d'ya think, is Nas takin any part in all those "blended" type of shit? I found one day mixtape called "Hova's Son" - Nas lyrics ova Gay-Z beats. Can't imagine he could appeciate this in 02-03...

i'm pretty sure he endorses those remixes... for the simple fact that he gets paid off them. yeah, i have that Hova's Son, just never had the time to listen 2 it. Jigga went this "download-my-acapellas-and-remix'em" route, so i guess Nas felt he should at least try the same.
btw, have you heard of the "Grey Album"? It's Jigga's "Black Album" over... Beatles' "White Album"! entertaining, if nothing else.
