"Basically the problem is that one of the MIDI drivers you have is doing something to connect the MIDI server with the window server (usually this is due to some sort of copy protection code). As far as I know, the only company that ships MIDI drivers that do this is Digidesign -- but I could be wrong. In any case, you should go to

/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers

and trash any of the .plugin files that are for devices that you are not using.

That will almost certainly resolve it (unless you are actually using the midi driver plugin that is the source of the problem)."
