Kanye West Gets Unexpected Album Input From Rilo Kiley
 

Rapper Kanye West has turned to quite unconventional methods in choosing the tracks for his new album, including asking random people for feedback on potential tracks for his album 808's And Heartbreaks.

West recently approached Rilo Kiley actress/singer Jenny Lewis and asked for her opinion on a track.

"We missed our flight and had to wait a couple of hours in the lounge," Lewis told Entertainment Weekly. "I noticed Kanye West was waiting for the same flight. He looked over and said, 'Excuse me, would you mind listening to my new track?' And so he put his headphones on my head and I listened to two of his new songs. He had no idea who I was. I guess he was doing research."

Lewis appeared on television shows such as Roseanne, Growing Pains, and Mr. Belvedere. She is currently pursuing a career in music and is the lead singer of the band Rilo Kiley.

The expected release date for 808's And Heartbreak is December 16.

Kanye says he will now release his 4th album, 808s and Heartbreak, in November instead of the previously promised December date. Although he claims to have moved up the album because he wants “y’all to hear it as soon as possible,” 50’s decision to drop his own album in December probably had something to do with it. Either way, we’re not complaining.

Kanye makes 'hip-hop Muppet Show'
 

Rap star Kanye West has teamed up with US cable channel Comedy Central to make a programme described as "hip-hop meets the Muppets", according to US media.

Billboard magazine said a pilot episode had already been filmed, and featured new music from the Grammy-winning star.

West was also the host but, if the show is commissioned, it will have a new presenter each week - like the Muppets.

Producers on the programme, which has the working title Alligator Boots, include South Park writer Jon Kimmel.

West and fellow rapper Rhymefest are also listed as executive producers.

If picked up, the show would make its debut in 2009, reported trade paper The Hollywood Reporter.

Coincidentally, a puppet version of West starred in a recent video for the rapper's song, Champion.

The clip, released to coincide with the Beijing Olympics, showed the mannequin competing against real athletes in a 100m sprint.

It was directed by production company Neon. It is not known whether they are involved with Alligator Boots, which is the brainchild of TV producers Jackhole Industries.

The company, which was co-founded by US chat show host Jimmy Kimmel, was also behind Comedy Central's puppet show Crank Yankers.

PS: Чувствую Канье будет Love Lockdown до выхода альбома переписывать, скоро и ремиксы с кем-нибудь пойдут.

Интересно будет послушать материал. Факт присутствия именитых личностей на диске,несомненно, только разжигает интерес к качественному и приятному звуку, каким канни всегда отличался. С удовольствием послушаю релиз.

G.O.O.D. Music's latest addition, Kid Cudi, recently spoke to Urb.com about contributing to Kanye West's 808's And Heartbreak, his upcoming album and how it feels to be a part of West's label. In addition to his solo offering, due in early 2009, the Cleveland native can be found on at least two songs on the West's upcoming album.
"It was dope, helping him brainstorm and all that stuff," says Cudi, who often refers to himself as "The Man on the Moon." "It's like being in the studio with myself 10 years from now. The energy is intense and it feels dope that someone like him gets my vision."
Early reports describe 808's And Heartbreak as an album that relies heavily upon singing and Antares' Auto-Tune technology. While Kid Cudi didn't necessarily deny the rumors, he says singing sometimes has its merits.
"When I’m saying it or listening to it or singin’ it back, it just feels good, rather than just saying a rap," says Cudi. "It sounds a whole lot more interesting…it doesn’t sound so dry. It brings a lot of my character out. I’m a real feel-good type person. And I feel like I have a real good spirit in me. I feel like I can portray that through the melody."

West has yet to give a specific date for 808's And Heartbreak, only stating, "I changed my album to November something 'cause i finished the album and I felt like it." Kid Cudi previously released a mixtape in conjunction with the streetwear clothing company 10 Deep. Free downloads are available at the 10 Deep website.

Трек привязчивый, но нравится. Очень похож на Homecoming с предыдущего альбома. Такая же простенькая и привязчивая музыка. Похоже первые 2 альбома уже не повторятся даже на 30%.

Мне именно такая музыка у него и нравится :)

Жаль. Вокодер и пение почти весь альбом. Хотя продажи еще больше будут.
